The athletes and support staff from Team Australia were given a helping hand during the Sydney games held between 20 – 27 October. Each team member adopted a Great War uniformed bear for the games, which they plan to donate to a school of their choice.

The bears caused quite a stir and met some interesting people throughout their week’s journey, including Prime Minister Scott Morrison, Governor General Peter Cosgrove, Olympic legend Ian Thorpe and even Prince Frederik of Denmark! You can see these special moments by visiting the Invictus Games gallery that has been added to AnzacBears.com.au.
